Abstract

The cage is used for raising fish and comprises a central shaft (1) with an annular float (2) a short distance in at each end (1a). Guy wires (3) are stretched from these floats to each end of the shaft and also (4) from the inner edge of each float to a central point on the shaft. Other wires (5) are regularly spaced around the circumference and are covered with mesh (6) to contain the fish. Each float is hollow and has compartments. Valves connect these compartments and the latter can be selectively flooded to stabilise the cage.
