Abstract

a. Procédé de raccordement sur chantier de deux câbles à fibres optiques, comportant chacun, outre une enveloppe, une âme creusée de rainures régulièrement échelonnées sur son pourtour et logeant chacune une fibre optique. b. Il comprend les étapes suivantes : dénudage des extrémités des câbles; dégagement des fibres vers l'extérieur et fixation provisoire de celles-ci; découpage de l'âme débarrassée des fibres et fixation d'un embout prolongateur rainuré au même écartement que l'âme; rabattage des fibres dans les rainures de l'embout et fixation de celles-ci; découpage de l'extrémité de l'embout et des fibres et polissage ; fixation à demeure des assemblages âme-embout prolongateur et il est caractérisé en ce que le rabattage des fibres dans les rainures de l'embout s'effectue en faisant coulisser sur l'embout un manchon en matériau élastique. c. Pose des cables à fibres optiques.
