Abstract
Liquids which are in optimal state of division in which they are absorbers of heat on any thermal potential including the feed liq. itself, are vaporised using a structure having capillary properties. The active zone of the structure comprises a liq. transfer zone and an evapn. zone. The structure contains a definite quantity of liq., 90% of its capacity. It subdivides the liq. into micro-masses which are more or less isolated from one another and distributes it in optimised quantities in the evapn. zone by virtue of the characteristics of the fibre which constitute the structure and their arrangement in tissue or fabrics. The invention permits absorption of heat on hot and cold sources and is applicable to all thermal potentials for constructing e.g. solar energy collectors, steam generators, heat generators. It allows prodn. of cold with solar collectors, water softening, redn. of inertia of solar collectors and generators, redn. of vol. of thermal devices, improvement of the efficiency of evaporating systems in closed circuit and vaporisation of all liquids and their mixts.
