Abstract

The strip guide control system produces coils from strips of textile fibres. The guide comprises a tubular mounting in which a tubular guide member turns. Means are provided to rotate it continuously about a common axis. The mounting is supported by one or more guide bars whose axis is parallel to that of the coil, so that it can slide to and fro on the bar under the action of a rocking bar, to whose centre a pushrod attached to a crankpin is attached. The crackshaft is driven by two gears. Means are provided to allow the mounting to travel in a straight line while remaining coupled to the rocking bar.
