Abstract

The ejector is for handling rigid loads, and particularly for moving them over large distances. It comprises a retractable thruster (1), part of which at least is accommodated in a magazine (2), and a drive mechanism (3) acting on the thruster. The latter can be a metal strip, gripped between a driving (8) and a compression (9) roller, while the magazine can extend at right angles to the direction of thrust, incorporating a straight portion. It can also have a circular portion, tangential to the thrust direction, and in which the strip is coiled.
