Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de composition de textes en langue arabe. Il s'agit d'un dispositif du type comportant : un organe d'entrée qui définit une suite d'ordres, comportant des lettres normales, des lettres hémiliées, des espacements, des symboles non alphabétiques, relatifs au texte à composer, ainsi qu'un organe relais qui fait correspondre aux ordres d'entrée des commandes des caractères, caractérisé par le fait que l'organe d'entrée définit des ordres de lettre independants de la position de chaque lettre dans les mots du texte, l'organe relais fait correspondre plusieurs commandes de caractère différentes à chaque ordre de lettre et est agencé pour sélectionner l'une des commandes de caractère associées à chaque ordre de lettre en fonction du fait que l'ordre précédent est ou non relatif à un espacement ou une lettre hémiliée. Ce dispositif est utilisable dans les photo-composeuses et les machines à écrire.
