Abstract

The material distribution and metering system is particularly for animal fodder, filling a number of first receiving containers by means of a number of second transport containers. The loaded second container (81-85), which can be tipped, are transported above the first ones (9-11), and held in a position such that they retain their loads. The load retainers are released, as they come into line with the first containers, so as to dump their loads into them. When the fodder in a first container reaches the desired level, further dumping into it is prevented, so that the first containers are filled in succession, as the second containers travel round a closed track.
