Abstract

The hinge has three knuckle pieces (1, 2, 3) and one or more pins (4), being designed to prevent deterioration due to water penetration. The knuckles have an L-shape, the flanges fixing to door components and accommodating axle holes (6, 13) respectively. The centre piece (1) is fixed to e.g. the door and the others (2, 3) to the substructure. The holes are precisely bored parallel to the longitudinal axes of the pieces, and tha abutting end faces (9, 10, 11, 12) are perpendicular to these axes. Each outer piece may have a blind hole (13) and the centre piece two blind holes or a through hole (6).
