Abstract

The capnut has a central tapped hole sealed at one end by a plug, being partic. for securing motor vehicle wheels. The plug (2) has a central boss (7) with a roughened surface, and whose diameter (D) lies between that (D2) to which the nut (1) is originally drilled and that (D1) to which it is tapped out. At one end of the boss is a head (8) with a flat face (9) bearing against another one (5) on the nut end when the boss is pressed into the tapped hole.
