Abstract

Fingernails are coated with a special varnish having adhesive qualities and coloured synthetic fibres are projected on to them. The coloured fibres are projected electrostatically and they have a gauge of 3-20 denier with an average length of 0.3-1.5 mm. An appts. contains an electrical circuit with means of projecting the fibres and covered containers for the varnish and for the fibres of different colours. The fingernails are given an aesthetic, original and attractive appearance with a wide range of possibilities, and esp. a velvet-like surface which unlike that of painted nails does not flake off.
