Abstract

The engine compartment hood for agricultural or building site traction vehicle also accommodates the exhaust silencer. This hood is readily opend and closed by one person even if a large vehicle is involved. The exhaust pipe is fastened on the engine compartment lid and this pipe is moved together with the lid. Between the silencer and the exhaust pipe is fitted a sealing mechanism. The latter has a spring loaded sliding sleeve which projects into the exhaust pipe.
