Abstract

A filtration device comprising filter cartridges placed in a pipe connecting two spaces, partic. a vent pipe, and provided with a side pipe for ventilation, incorporates a lock chamber, for inserting a filter cartridge, a pusher and a removable cap. In a pref. form, a thick protective screen is provided between the upper part of the device and a contaminated enclosure, giving protection against radiation and the front part of the pusher is in protective material. The outlet of the lock chamber and the upper part of the pipe are surrounded by bags and the piston rods of the pushers are surrounded by safety bellows. The improvement of this addn. (i.e. provision of the lateral lock chamber, the pusher and the removable cap) allows mechanisation of the replacement of the cartridges while ensuring protection against alpha, gamma and neutron radiations.
