Abstract

The package comprises a tubular body of polygonal cross-section in cardboard, corrugated cardboard, or other sheet material. Two bulky end-plates or caps of e.g. expanded synthetic material may be fitted to the edges of the tubular body to form a base and a lid. On at least one end, the tubular body is extended to form at least one tab suitable for folding over the end plate, and to be fixed, e.g. by gluing. The outer surface of the end-plate provides housings to the shape of the tab. A lip juts out from the end-plate, except in the area of the tab fitment.
