Abstract

The anchor has a straingt shank and two flukes. Each fluke is pivoted by a longitudinal hinge parallel to the shank. The hinge is reinforced with ribbing. The crown of the anchor has plates (10) connected perpendicularly to a rib (2). The plate lifts the flukes out of the ground when the anchor is reversed. The top and bottom plates (10) point inwards and make a small angle with the anchor shank.
