Abstract

A frontal collector for a dynamoelectric machine is produced by pressing radial grooves into one face of a copper ring to produce radial ribs on the other face. The ring is then placed in a mould for applying insulating material to form the collector, the latter including radial projections and longitudinal peripheral ribs. Radiating grooves for conductors are provided between the ribs, the conductors being fixed in the grooves. The front face of the collector is dressed to smooth out the projections on the ring and form a series of electrically independent sectors.
