Abstract

A glass laminate comprises a heat- and pressure resistant photographic film placed between two glass plates and bonded to these with a compatible thermoplastic material. The adhesive is pref. polyvinyl butyral contg. a UV absorbing additive, pref. Butadite 106 UV (RTM). The photographic film is pref. polyethylene terephthalate. Coloration of the photographic image is obtd. by mordanting and dyeing with basic dyes. The mordant is pref. copper sulphocyanide. Prodn. of decorative glazing. The film also prevents shattering of the glass in case of breakage.
