Abstract

The cosmetic compsn. contains a photodynamic amt. of the cpd of formula (I) below dissolved in lanolin and >=1 UV filtering substance dissolved in a mineral oil. The compsn. is prepd by dissolving (I) in lanolin at 42-44 degrees C successively using increasing amts. of lanolin. The UV filtering substance is dissolved in the mineral oil and the two are mixed with the addn. of nutrients such as vaseline to obtain a homogenous cream. The compsn. gives a rapid bronzing. The compsn is used for protecting and accelerating the pigmentation of the skin. (I) is designed to penetrate to the level of the melanocytes of the derm and the protective agent is designed to remain on the surface of the skin.
