Abstract

The system of making electrical contacts uses two sets of spiral springs of conducting material (11, 14) lying in channels in insulating boards (2, 3) to form a matrix. A printed circuit (1) is sandwiched between the two boards. The channel is form two sets, each set comprising a number of parallel slots at right angles to those of the other set. Contacts are made by inserting conducting pins (15) through the boards so that they pass between the coils of the springs. In this way a pin touches each spring at four points to make its connection.
