Abstract

The packaging comprises an upper plate (10), a lower plate (9) and an intermediate support (11). These co-operate to provide at least one compartment in which a cheese can be placed. The plates may be of rectangular or square shape. The intermediate support may be shaped to conform to that of the cheese. Several cheeses may be accommodated in separate supports arranged between the upper and lower plates. A stack may be formed whereby an upper plate (10) forms the lower plate (8) of the next layer.
