Abstract

The television aerial fixing uptem is of the tensioned cable type. The cable (5) is would onto a split spindle (2) by means of a non return ratchet wheel (3). The spindle is supported on a frame (1) between two stubs (7, 8) which have oval slots (9, 10) formed in them. The axis (A-A) of te slots (9, 10) is directed to a side of the frame (1) at which the teeth of the ratchet wheel engage. The axis (A-A) of the slot makes an acute angle (B) with the direction of tension (T) exerted on the tensioning cable. The eccentricity of the slot ovalizationis greater than the teethdepth inthe ratchet wheel.
