Abstract

The random choice of numbers provide series of random numbers where tables or computer produced series are not suitable. Choice is effected by pointers rotated by friction around the disc. A random number selector comprises cylindrical casing (1, 2) about vertical central axis (3) and which is transparent cover (5). A socket (6) on base (4) supports shaft (7) rotated by button (9). A flat disc (10) has sectors inscribed on the face (11) to aid selection of numbers as three pointers (15, 16, 17) rotate independently on three planes on the shaft. Washers (18, 19, 20, 21) provide friction forces enabling pointers to stop at different times. Different length pointers facilitate choice of order.
