Abstract

The coded card read system (15) is mounted on a support (11) fitted with a card input slot (12). The support (11) having a card transport mechanism (14) and a reading head (16). The valid coded card (4) is placed in a folded housing (1) which can easily be gripped in gloved hands. The housing (1) enclosing the card (4) is then placed in the card reader slot (12) and the card (4) is read by the reader (16) via a hole (9) in the card housing (1).
