Abstract

The skate board is designed for use on ice or snow and comprises a flat surface (1) in the shape of a ski. Underneath this, at the front and rear, is a skid (2) or a runner; the former is for use on snow and the latter for use on ice. Both skids or runners are joined to the supporting surface by flexible connections (3), these consisting of a spring piston or similar operating in a cylinder and the assembly comprises a ball joint. Manoeuvres are executed by body movements changing the position of the centre of gravity.
