Abstract

The furniture door mounting has a carriage which is hinged to the door to roll with it over a certain distance and then allow the door to swing open. The carriage may include grooved rollers which engage with guide rails. The door is first slid along the face of the e.g. cabinet until its outer end is clear of the cabinet end wall. The door can then be swung to its open position.
