Abstract

An electrical domestic appliance can be connected to a power supply network and contains a ripple-control receiver, which can be driven via the power supply network, in order to influence the load of the appliance. In this case, a ripple-control receiver is used which responds to a plurality of ripple-control systems, continuously monitors the ripple-control frequencies of these ripple-control systems and, on receipt of a transmission on one of the ripple-control frequencies, automatically latches on to this ripple-control frequency.
