Abstract

The side barrier for a bed, especially a hospital bed, can be slid into various heights. The barrier incorporates a telescopic armature which is slide mounted on fixtures consisting of a bar (7) on which slides a tubular piece (2, 3). The bar (7) is pivoted on an axle on a support which has a clip at each end. One at least of the clips is slide mounted on the support so that the distance between the clips can be varied. One of the clips can be moved on an axis lengthwise to the support, or at an angle at right angles to the support.
