Abstract

Ce dispositif est destiné à protéger les petits moteurs électriques des surchauffes lentes aussi bien que brusques. Il comprend une boîte métallique plate peu profonde 12 dans le fond de laquelle est soudée une lame bimétallique qui établit normalement le contact entre deux éléments 20 et 28 et le coupe à une certaine température. Cette boîte est chauffée par une résistance en forme de serpentin plat 32 appliquée sur le couvercle 26 avec interposition d'une pellicule isolante 30. Une extrémité de la résistance 32 est soudée sur le couvercle et l'autre extrémité forme une borne 36.2. L'autre borne du dispositif est une patte 12.7 solidaire de la boîte. Le couvercle est fixé à la boîte par un joint d'étanchéité isolant 36. Ce dispositif est intercalé dans le circuit de l'enroulement du moteur à protéger. Il possède une inertie thermique importante qui allonge le temps de réarmement, ce qui ameliore sa fiabilité.
