Abstract
L'invention concerne un perfectionnement à un procédé de décarbonatation de l'électrolyte d'une pile à combustible. Elle a pour objet, dans une pile à combustible comportant une anode et une cathode ainsi qu'une membrane séparatrice et rétentrice d'électrolyte venant alternativement en contact avec ladite anode et ladite cathode, cette pile comportant en outre un fixateur des ions carbonate formes au cours du processus électrochimique, un tampon de pH et un sel indifférent, ladite pile fonctionnant selon deux phases distinctes et consécutives, une phase de production de puissance et une phase de décarbonatation, le perfectionnement caractérisé en ce que le fixateur est constitué à l'aide d'ions lithium dissous dans l'électrolyte alcalin. L'invention est mise en oeuvre dans les piles méthanol-air.
