Abstract

An installation for recovering solar energy, comprising a closed circuit in which are contd. a collector formed from two parallel plates enclosing a narrow space and a pump circulating a heat transfer fluid, uses as the heat transfer fluid a liq. contg. particles in suspension. The particles are pref. black (esp. graphite) and their size is 0.1-10 mu. The liq. may be an oil. The circuit may include a mixer. The use of the fluid contg. particles in suspension reduced the coefft. of re-emission in the IR region, while retaining a very high value of the absorption coefft.
