Compsns. for use in agriculture, horticulture and forestry contain lipoamino acid salts of formula (RCO-NH-CHR'-COO)M (I) or lipopeptide salts of formula (RCONH-CHR'-CONH-CHR"-COO)M (II):- (where R is a fatty acid residue; R' and R" are residues of amino acids; M is a metal). The compsns. are stated to have bactericidal, fungicidal and viricidal activity and to stimulate germination and growth.
