Abstract
An instrument is used to align optical axes of optical instruments. It comprises a collimator to render the optical axes parallel to each other. The instrument has a collimator tube (1) and includes a light source (2), a diaphragm (3) and a concave mirror (4). It also has three annular mirrors (5a, 5b, 5c) set at an angle of 45 deg. to the axis (1a) of the collimator. The internal diameters of the annular mirrors (5a, 5b, 5c) are scaled to enable the mirrors (5a, 5b, 5c) to receive the light beam of the collimator. The mirrors (5a, 5b, 5c) transmit three light beams parallel to each other and through three openings in the tube (1) of the collimator. Spacers (6) are used to maintain accurate distances between the mirrors (5a, 5b, 5c).
