Abstract

The assembly comprises gps. of tubes which are formed by a woven structure having as weft, tubes of metal or plastic material, the ends of which are attached fluid- tight to header manifolds. The warp in the structure consists of metal or plastic threads the cross-section of which is round or flat. The tubes may be of Cu, bronze stainless steel, etc. or of polyester, polyamide, PVC, etc. The structures have a wide range of application as heat exchangers, solar energy collector elements, heat dissipators and heat storing systems, such as radiators for cooling gases, covers of glasshouses, swimming pools, etc. The existence of very wide looms permits the mfr. of large-sized units which the flexible and can be made into rolls. Weaving structures as used for paper-making felts ensure that the tubes are held securely in place relatively to each other.
