Abstract

On a souvent cherché à améliorer le rendement d'une cheminée à feu de bois apparent, en lui faisant produire de l'eau chaude à utiliser dans des radiateurs ou une distribution aux robinets. La solution proposée ici présente l'originalité de ne pas modifier l'aspect habituel car l'eau à chauffer se trouve dans l'intérieur de la plaque de fonte qui est traditionnellement fixée au fond de l'âtre. Cette réserve peut être une simple cavité, mais on préfère la réaliser en insérant au moment de la coulée un serpentin en tube d'acier qui sera complètement enrobé par la fonte de la plaque faisant ainsi corps avec cette plaque. Peut être utilisé avec les installations anciennes ou monté dans les cheminées à construire dans les maisons neuves.
