Abstract

A plate of plastics material is coated with wax. The plate may have edges in the form of a frame. Alternatively the edges may be flat for use with a frame. The plate is of rectangular form and has a surface shaped as the bottom of hexagonal cells of the same size as the cells which are built by the bees. The plates are coated with wax by brushing, after heating, or by any other method.
