a. Dispositif de liaison entre un volant de moteur et un arbre de transmission. b. Un arbre de transmission cannelé symétrique relie un volant ayant une forme particulière avec le train de transmission d'un véhicule. Le volant est conçu pour recevoir une bague d'arrêt qui fait que quand on sépare une partie du carter du volant du train de transmission, la partie restante du carter entourant le volant et l'arbre de transmission cannelé symétrique disposé dans la cavité du volant reste associée à ce dernier. c. S'applique aux transmission des véhicules automobiles et, en particulier, des véhicules lourds.
