Abstract

The leverage system moves an up and over garage door (1) between the closed and open positions. During movement rollers at the foot run in vertical side tracks (6) and rollers (4) at the head run in horizontal side tracks (7). A pivot arm (14) has one joint (16) capable of limited translation or may comprise a simple pin-jointed deforming cranked arm. A lever system may be provided on each side of the door and the lever (14) may extend between pinned joints (15, 16) behind the head of the door (1) and behind the mid-point of the door height.
