Abstract
Cette invention concerne un matériau composite à base de polyméthacrylate de méthyle et son procédé de fabrication. Le matériau tout en conservant les propriétés du méthacrylate de méthyle possède une excellente résistance au vieillissement et particulièrement à la micro-fissuration. Ce matériau et son procédé de fabrication sont caractérisés en ce que l'on fixe sur une surface d'élément en polyméthacrylate de méthyle un revêtement de polyfluorure de vinylidène dont l'épaisseur maximum est dix fois moindre que l'épaisseur de l'élément en polyméthacrylate de méthyle sans toutefois que l'épaisseur du revêtement ne soit supérieure à 400 microns.This invention relates to a composite material based on polymethyl methacrylate and its manufacturing process. The material while retaining the properties of methyl methacrylate has excellent resistance to aging and particularly to micro-cracking. This material and its manufacturing process are characterized in that a polyvinylidene fluoride coating is fixed to a surface of a polymethyl methacrylate element, the maximum thickness of which is ten times less than the thickness of the element in polymethyl methacrylate without, however, the coating thickness being greater than 400 microns.
