Abstract

The sound and heat insulation for a bed consists of a panel (2) at the head of the bed to which is hinged a hood (3). The hood can be folded back against the bed-head panel (2) and has soft, flexible sides (4a, 4b) of concertina form. The sides can be rigid, in one piece with the hood. The sound-insulated area created under the hood for the sleeper(s) in the bed is fitted with an air circulating device, in the form of a tangential turbine fan (5). The air which is blown through is returned and distributed through holes (6) in the bed-head panel.
