Abstract

The brushing device includes e.g. brushing elements covered e.g. with card clothing which execute a linear movement w.r.t. an advancing textile fabric, and also oscillating movement. Pref. the brushing elements are mounted on pendulum arins to provide an oscillating movement which is pendular and follows a part cliptical arc. A soft brushed surface can be produced at high speeds on both surfaces of the fabric with risk of damaging the fabric. Pref. the brushing elements are rollers and are positioned on both sides of the fabric. Pref. the pendular arms are driven by a rotating eccentric movement.
