Abstract

A silicone mastic is used as a vibration damping and insulating material. The material is pref. in the form of a disc and is pref. made from a 2-part silicone of the RTV type. The mastic is esp. used for supporting radioelectrical discs on a turntable connected to a reader. PArasitic vibrations are efficiently absorbed. The material is flexible, soft and non springy.
