Abstract

A wire framework for supporting electric cables or pipes is built up from a number of parallel longitudinal wires (6, 6', 6") attached to U shaped transverse wires (8). The framework is supported by sheet metal brackets (10, 12) of L shaped cross-section with the edges (18, 20) bent over the longitudinal wires (6", 6"'). The sides of the brackets are stiffened by ribs (32, 34). The brackets are fitted to the framework between the U shaped transverse wires and so any relative longitudinal movement between bracket and framework is prevented without the need for any additional form of fixing.
