Abstract
At each end of the appts. the movements to be transmitted are imparted to a mechanical connection between two elastic capsules. When the connection is displaced, one of the capsules is compressed and the other is extended. The capsules at one end are connected to the capsules at the other end by inelastic conduits. The two volumes so closed are sealed and fully filled with liq. The mechanical connection may be made by two racks engaging a pinion in opposition. The volumes may be subjected to a pre-load by a spring loaded elastic capsule connected to the conduits.
