Abstract

The sound-proofing is for a light, rigid partition wall, supported partly or wholly by a wall. One or more rigid pieces have a flexible material stretched over the edge (1) of the partition or rigid pieces. The rigid sections have one or more grooves (2) opposite the edge, to constitute a tenon (5) and mortice joint with the flexible material (4). The flexible material is self-adhesive and air-tight. The rigid section can be made of metal, plastic or wood. The flexible material protrudes beyond the partition block by a distance corresponding to the thickness of the rendering or other cladding to be placed on the partition.
