Abstract

The laboratory apparatus is used for holding animals, e.g. rats and mice, when conducting bio-medical experiments. It comprises a tunnel with a flap each end for retaining the animal. This tunnel is provided with a foot, sliding inside a groove to enable the tunnel to be exchanged for one of different dimensions. The closing flap is also equipped with a slot in its base, permitting excrement to escape and run into the droppings tray. The dropping tray is held by means of hooks for easy removal. The exit table for the treated animal also allows easy removal, with dovetail joints providing rigidity.
