Abstract

The lid is made from cellulose or other material and is fitted with a lip on the outer edge which makes an angle of 5 deg. with the vertical. The lip forms onto the central flat portion of the lid which may have radial or circular reinforcements. The central portion may be flush with the outside of the lip or above it. The width of the lip is designed to take the edge of the container.
