Abstract

The transmitting microphone has a metallic casing which is in two parts separated by an insulating material. These metallic elements comprise the transmitter antenna and this eliminates need for training wires, to give the user freedom of movement. The microphone (6) is mounted on the bottom (5) of a cylindrical casing (2) and is enclosed by a cover (7) of sound filtering material to permit use close to the sound source. A second cylindrical casing (1) completes the transmitter cover. This is isolated (3) from the upper casing by a sheath (4) which prevents the uses from short circuiting the casing elements constituting the antenna. A coupling transformer (11, 13, 14) couples transmitter (8) to antenna.
