Abstract

The seat (10) can be made solid with one of the vehicle seats. It has a retaining device to hold the upper part of the child's body when rapid deceleration occurs. The sides of the seat have energy absorbing fillings at their front. The retaining device is a belt, carried by two lateral mountings and going across the seat width. The seat is in two parts with securing devices to hold them firmly together. The securing device consists of a plate solid with the base, U shaped, the ends of which are housed in longitudinal openings across the mountings and holding at the ends the assembly fittings.
