Abstract

The socket for inserting of a glass cap lamp into a circuit board is made of insulating material with contacts for connection to the lamp lead-in wires and with the conductive tracks of the board. The socket (1), its contact elements (3, 4) and the glass cap lamp (2) form a one-piece unit. The contacts are preferably positively connected to the lamp lead-in wires (9), or may be formed as a one-piece continuation of the same. The assembly is typically enclosed in a socket formed by injection moulding. The lamp lead-in wires may themselves form the contacts in the socket.
