Abstract

For the secure fastening of a heat-insulating slab (6) on an underlying surface, for example a roof-covering profiled steel sheet (5), use is made of a fastening member (1) which comprises a plate (3) and an elongate plastic shaft (2) which is integrally connected to said plate. The shaft end is rigidly connected to a self-tapping screw (8). In order to permit screwing-in by means of motor-driven screwing-in units, the plate (3) is provided with a hexagonal hole (4). Since the screw (8) is seated firmly in the elongate shaft (2), screwing-in at the correct angle is facilitated.
