Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de racémisation des acides N-carbéthoxy-(alpha-aminophénylacétiques optiquement actifs. Il est caractérisé par le fait que l'on chauffe à température comprise entre 30 degrés C et la température du reflux, l'acide N-carbéthoxy-(alpha-aminophénylacétique) optiquement actif avec un hydroxyde alcalin et de l'eau en quantités telles qu'il y ait de 1,5 à 3 moles d'hydroxyde par mole de sel alcalin de l'acide N-carbéthoxy-(alpha-aminophenylacétique) optiquement actif et que la concentration de l'hydroxyde libre soit au moins de 0,3 mole pour 100 g du mélange du sel alcalin de l'acide N-carbéthoxy-(alpha-aminophényacétique) optiquement actif, de l'hydroxyde alcalin et de l'eau, puis qu'après dilution avec de l'eau, on acidifie la solution résultante avec un acide fort et sépare l'acide N-carbéthoxy-(DL-alpha-aminophénylacétique) formé. Application à la racémisation des acides N-carbéthoxy-(alpha-aminophénylacétiques) optiquement actifs.
